The department was initially established in 2002 as an Industrial Maintenance department and was transformed in 2008 into a Mechanical Engineering department. It trains graduates specialized in industrial maintenance, mechanical design and manufacturing, and wood technology, to meet the needs of the industrial job market. These programs, accessible to scientific and technical baccalaureate holders, include internships in companies and practical projects for versatile professional integration.
Training Objectives:
The objective of the Mechanical Engineering program at ISET of Jendouba is to train versatile and autonomous senior technicians for the industrial sector, capable of designing, manufacturing, commissioning, and maintaining mechanical systems and products, mastering mechanics, automation, thermodynamics, machining, and CAD/CAM software, while developing project management and communication skills to integrate into production, maintenance, or design office teams.
